The studio visit focus on the exhibition’s theme through the act of animation, discussing the stop-motion technique and the use of animation as an artistic tool. Issues such as materiality, memory and creation were discussed alongside ideas such as fluidity, the passing of time and erasure, embodied and expressed in ink, glycerin, paper cuttings and maps.
